Artists

Jim is a self-taught artist, attributing his skills to "Mother Earth and Father Sky". His influences are the paintings of Van Gogh, Gaiguin, Matisse as well as modern painters such as T.C. Cannon, Jim Wagner, and Fritz Scholder. Huge blue skies filled with puffy clouds over the plains, desert, and mountains often find their way into Jim's paintings. He paints in a "modern primitive" style, taking what he calls primal images and turning these images into paintings.
