Born in the small, high-desert town of Alamosa, Colorado, Roger Williams began his training as a painter at the heels of his father, a university art professor. His love of light and beauty takes expression in varied forms-a mountain sunset in the Southwestern United States, a vegetable market in Oaxaca, a couscous vendor in Morocco, a poppy field in Provence. Primarily a plein-air impressionist, he is especially inspired by cultural, ethnic, and spiritual subject matter.
